ch-ch-changes!
About three weeks ago I applied for a different job at the agency I work at. The interview was the following week, and a couple days later I was offered the job. I'm very excited because not only did I get a raise, I will get every holiday off and most weekends. I have been meaning to update for a while now, but I just haven't had the time! I start training tomorrow, and I'm a little nervous just because it's new and unfamiliar, but I know a couple of my coworkers at the new site and I think it's going to be a lot of fun. Now I just need to buy some clothes because my current wardrobe is mostly t-shirts and jeans and I have very few "business casual" items. So a new job, a raise, and new clothes! Hooray!
Eddie and I went to the Cleveland Zoo yesterday with his mom, and we kept quoting lines from this monty python sketch where they are hunting mosquitoes. The opening lines makes me LOL every time.
The zoo was pretty top notch. They have this exhibit called Touch, and for $1 you can touch a stingray or a shark. It's an enclosed pool with about 10 rays and two small sharks and you put your hand in the water, and they glide right under it. It was by far one of the neatest things I have ever experienced! The rays feel kind of rubbery, but they are surprisingly soft at the same time. For another dollar you could feed them shrimp, and it feels like a vacuum cleaner running over your hand. Super cool!
I got a couple of really great pictures of the polar bears and a black bear, but the best one is an action shot I got of one of the tigers yawning:
And a shot of some amateur protology going on in one of the monkey enclosures:
Hey, I never said this was a classy blog! :)
Speaking of changes, I pulled six white hairs out of my head this morning. SIX! Wtf?! I'm too young to be getting gray hairs already! *sigh*

Congratulations! Do you have to move for your new job?
Oh, and thx for the monkey photo. Nice work there.
congrats on the new job.
like simon and garfunkle say, it's all happening at the zoo.
Dude, I have so many grey hairs now that I've taken to dyeing my hair, and I never wanted to be the dying hair kind of girl.
And I'm only 27, far too young for the grey hairs.
Mark-I don't have to move, as it is more or less a promotion to a different department.
Billy-Thanks! Apparently rectal exams are a pretty regular occurrence there.
Lucy-I'm concerned that it will get to that point soon. I used to only get an occasional grey hair in the same spot, but this is the most I've ever seen. :(
