Has it really been almost a month since I last updated? Heh.

Not too much has been going on here. This morning I got to see five squirrels attached to each other at the tail at Nature's Nursery. The vet said he had never seen anything like it. Unfortunately I didn't get to take any pictures of them, but if I get a chance to, I will definitely post it. Not sure what will happen to them, if they will be separated, or left as they are. Seems like they wouldn't last long in the wild attached together, although five angry squirrels would be a lot scarier than just one.

Eddie, Becky, and I went to the local art walk the other day, and it was okay. It was mostly amateur stuff, some of which was good, and some which wasn't so good. There was this weird woman that kept trying to push her "fairy inspired" artwork on us, which in theory sounded cool, but there was nothing fairy-like about her work. It was mostly sloppy misshapen clay with some feathers and string attached to it. While I fully encourage people to exercise their artistic side, don't try to harass me into buying your stuff if I'm clearly not into it. We were mostly interested in the rare opportunity to take a tour of the local Masonic Temple, but missed the cut off time by 20 minutes. It didn't help that one of the photographers at the photo shop next door asked us if we'd gotten a chance to check it out, followed by the comment, "It's a total freak show up there!" Definitely will have to check it out next year.

One of the most exciting parts of the art walk was checking out the library's book sale, where Eddie and I found an entire table of L. Ron Hubbard books, still encased in the original plastic. Being that they were only a dollar apiece, we couldn't resist the opportunity to buy one as a gag gift for one of our friends. I'm really interested in seeing what scientology has to say about the history of man. LoL.

Becky tagged me in a meme so I'm going to post mine here, and not bother to tag anyone. Here goes:

1. Pick up nearest book
2. Open to page 123
3. Find 5th sentence
4. Post next 3 sentences
5. Tag 5 people

A Storm of Swords by George R. R. Martin:

Wolves, he knew. His little cousins, chasing down some prey. Now the prince could see more of them, shadows on fleet grey paws.

Love is a Mix Tape; Life and Loss, One Song At a Time by Rob Sheffield:

The first song was "Sittin' on a Fence," an acoustic ballad with Mick and Keith singing about how stupid people are for falling in love and settling down. I was amazed at how soothing their voices were, two brash and pretty young mod boys, harmonizing so confidently about how people who stay together are suckers, and laughing at them. And they're right--what could be scarier, stupider, than staying together?

And just for fun, Scientology A History of Man Antediluvian Technology by L. Ron Hubbard:

The preclear will, if very low-toned, try this on the auditor. Any low-toned person will do it. The preclear may have many degraders he has done.
