Thanks so much to you all! You guys are awesome!! I know that to some it seems like it wouldn't be that big of a deal, but when you have a pet for 5 years you get attached to it.
I can at least take comfort in the fact that we rescued him from what would have been a terrible and much shorter life with his previous apathetic owner.
That's sad. I'm sorry. At least you got to give him a good life.

Those furry little buggers start off as pets and then become part of the family.

Steph-He had a stone blocking his urinary tract, so everything backed up and he was very uncomfortable. The vet was great, he tried everything he could to help, but frankly the little guy was old and his kidneys had gotten all messed up in the process. We pretty much knew that he was probably going to have to get put down before we went in, but were still holding out onto the slim hope that he would be okay.
Lucy-So true. He will be greatly missed.
