Updatage

Hmm? Where to start? Friday morning I was driving to work in the snow and went around a curve too fast, causing my car to slide and hit the front right tire on the curb. Other than some scratches along the hubcap and rim, everything appeared to be fine. Just to be safe, I took the car to tireman for an inspection to make sure the suspension and alignment were okay.

Three hours later, I got an estimate of the damage. Two of my tire rods were bent, I needed a new rim, tire, and bearing, 4 shims, and a 4 wheel alignment. The cost? 800 dollars! Needless to say, I was stunned. Apparently it doesn't take much to throw everything out of whack, as I was only going about 20 miles an hour. The mechanic also informed me that since the pontiac sunfire was a model that had been discontinued, the hubcap would need to be factory ordered and would cost 110 dollars in addition to the 800 already estimated. Pretty fucking weak.

A couple of people advised me to get another estimate as it seemed kind of steep, but my car was in no shape to be moved anywhere, so I gave it the go ahead. I got it back on Monday, and everything is now running smoothly. A costly mistake I won't be making again, that's for sure!

Tuesday I had my face to face interview and I am pleased to tell you that it went very well! I think I did far better in person than over the phone because I had visual cues to help me determine how I was doing. I should know what they've decided within the next 7-10 business days.

Tomorrow I have an interview for an Education Assistant position I applied for last week. I am hoping that it goes well, as it is something that is actually related to what I went to school for, and for once (gasp!) I am actually qualified! :)

Hello my lovelies!

I am very excited to tell you that I have a phone interview today!!!!! I am very nervous, but luckily I know someone that already works at the agency I'm trying to get into, and have been gathering interview tips from friends and coworkers. To be honest I have never officially had a "real" interview, as every place I've worked at has either hired me on the spot or been very casual in their interview process. If I do well, the next step will be to do a face to face session with four people. Eeek!

Rancor, the pimp.

The other day I was bored, so I proceeded to take a bunch of silly pictures with the idea that I'd string them together to tell a story. So here it is. Enjoy.

J: Rancor! What are you doing here?

R: Well…I need to tell you something….I just don’t want
you to be mad….

J: Just tell me! You know you are the only rancor monster
for me! Kisses!

R: I’m sleeping with Claudia.

J: What!?!?!?! That hussy? She’ll share her
bacon strip with anyone!

R: JUST KIDDING!
J: LOLZ!! That is sooo funny!

R: But seriously, I have the clap.
